About the event

Join us for our inaugural writing retreat with award winning author Emily Barroso.

Developing and Progressing Your Writing

The retreat is for writers of all levels who want to progress or even accelerate their writing, or for writers who might have an idea but don't know how to begin, or who perhaps feel stuck in their writing and want to be able to move their writing on.

It is suitable for writers of all genres who write or want to write in the longer form.

The workshops will be a mixture of writing prompts and exercises that will cover setting, place, character and more. There will be opportunities to read your work aloud and to receive tutor and class feedback, in an atmosphere of support and trust.

By the end of the week you should be bristling with fresh creative confidence and ideas, and you will most likely have made friends with a new group of cheerleaders.

*All writers are offered 1:1 sessions with Emily during the course. These will take place in the afternoons.
