About the event
Your place on our May 2026 tutored weekend writing retreat gives you a place to write in the way which suits you - alone or in a group; following a retreat schedule or pursuing your own plan; with support from your host or working independently. Writing workshops and one-to-one time will be provided.
The retreat runs from Friday to Sunday (2 nights) and your accommodation will be in one of our spacious, ensuite bedrooms with TV, WiFi, Tea and Coffee making facilities, all toiletries and - of course - a desk at which to write if you choose to. During the day you will have access to the group writing table, our lounge writing space (with a view over the valley), your bedroom writing space and, of course, our extensive garden and grounds where you might discover your own place to write. We have a copious supply of writing tools…

Superior Room - £365
Payment of the non-refundable deposit (£125 incl VAT) secures you one of our superior rooms with a stunning view at a total price, including the deposit, of £365 including VAT (no concessions available). Extra Night Before (B&B) - £75
A deposit of £10 (incl VAT) secures you an extra night's accommodation, on the night before the retreat check-in, on a bed and breakfast basis only (subject to availability). The full price of just £75 includes breakfast but not other meals/hospitality and is designed to allow you to maximise your time at A Place To Write (the balance of £65 is payable 21 days prior to the start of the retreat). Check in on this day is 3pm.
