General Terms and Conditions

The payment that reserves your place is non-refundable, except in the case of 2. and 3. below

In the event of cancellation of a retreat by A Place To Write, for any reason (including Covid), we will refund all sums paid to us by you to that point but will not be liable for any other costs incurred by you.

Deposits, which secure your place on a retreat, are refundable in full if you change your mind and wish to cancel within 14 days of making the booking, provided the retreat has not started within that 14 day period. If the retreat has already started, a proportion of total sums paid will be refunded, calculated as a proportion of the retreat completed, in hours, since 3pm on the scheduled first day up to 11am on the scheduled final day. Where a booking is cancelled after 14 days of the deposit being paid, and where the retreat has not started, no sums will be refunded.

The balance of payment for each retreat is due 21 days prior to the start of the retreat and, unless covered by 3. above, cancellation after this point will forfeit all sums paid including any balance payments made in part or full. Failure to pay the outstanding balance by the due date (21 days prior to the commencement of the retreat), without our prior agreement, will result in cancellation of the booking with no refund of any sums paid.

In the event that you need to change your booking for a retreat, after booking your place, we will work with you to transfer your booking to an alternative available retreat date, where possible.

In the event that you are forced to leave the retreat with more than 24 hours of the retreat remaining, for reasons beyond your control, we may refund a proportion of the total payment at our sole discretion.

The balance of payment for a retreat is payable in full a minimum of 21 days prior to the start of your retreat. We will send an invoice for the balance and a payment reminder at that time.
