Residential Retreat Terms and Conditions

The payment that reserves your place is non-refundable, except in the case of 2. and 3. below
In the event of cancellation of a retreat by A Place To Write, for any reason (including Covid), we will refund all sums paid to us by you to that point but will not be liable for any other costs incurred by you.
Deposits, which secure your place on a retreat, are refundable in full if you change your mind and wish to cancel within 14 days of making the booking, provided the retreat has not started within that 14 day period. If the retreat has already started, a proportion of total sums paid will be refunded, calculated as a proportion of the retreat completed, in hours, since 3pm on the scheduled first day up to 11am on the scheduled final day. Where a booking is cancelled after 14 days of the deposit being paid, and where the retreat has not started, no sums will be refunded.
The balance of payment for each retreat is due 21 days prior to the start of the retreat and, unless covered by 3. above, cancellation after this point will forfeit all sums paid including any balance payments made in part or full. Failure to pay the outstanding balance by the due date (21 days prior to the commencement of the retreat), without our prior agreement, will result in cancellation of the booking with no refund of any sums paid.
In the event that you need to change your booking for a retreat, after booking your place, at our sole discretion we may work with you to transfer your booking to an alternative available retreat date, where possible.
In the event that you are forced to leave the retreat with more than 24 hours of the retreat remaining, for reasons beyond your control, we may refund a proportion of the total payment at our sole discretion.
The balance of payment for a retreat is payable in full a minimum of 21 days prior to the start of your retreat. We will send an invoice for the balance and a payment reminder at that time.

Online Services Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Policy: i) If you change your mind within 14 days of booking online, and have not attended any sessions, you can cancel your membership in full and you will receive a full refund of the sum paid. ii) If you attend a single session in the first month of your initial membership period and decide it is not for you, you can also cancel your membership with a full refund of the sum paid.* iii) If you have paid a quarterly subscription, have attended more than one session, and wish to cancel within the first month of your membership, we will refund part of your quarterly subscription.** iv) No refunds will be available other than in the circumstances detailed in i), ii) and iii) above. * Your initial membership period is the first month for which you have paid a subscription. If you leave and rejoin at a later date then refunds detailed under ii) will not be available to you. ** The sum refunded in this case will be 2/3 of the sum you paid to join.
On occasion it may be necessary to change the date and/or time of an online session or sessions. This will only be done when absolutely necessary and, wherever possible, in consultation with members who it will affect. Such changes of date time will be publicised There will be no refunds made in relation to such rescheduling.
By joining an online service you agree to follow the instructions and guidance of the host and to act in a courteous and supportive manner to other members. Failure to behave in an appropriate manner may result in temporary exclusion from the online service, with no refund payable in this connection.
If your online behaviour is giving cause for concern, we will endeavour to work with you to manage the situation appropriately. If we deem that permanent exclusion is a possibility we will issue you with a final warning, in writing. If you behaviour continues to cause an issue we reserve the right to exclude you permanently from any session or service with no refund payable.
Materials distributed as part of the online service (videos, information sheets, weblinks, etc) must not be shared with anyone who is not a member of the online group. Sharing of such materials on social media or other public platforms is also strictly prohibited.
