Unique Shakespeare Retreats
Hosted by A Place to Write at Bron Y Graig
Our unique Shakespeare events give you the chance to discover and explore Shakespeare's plays with other enthusiasts and lovers of his work. In your time with us you will find so much for you to enjoy, whatever your level of confidence or experience with Shakespeare. For example, you can learn about the latest academic research on Shakespeare and Candlelight, from Dr. Nic Brownlie, and enjoy a range of optional workshops, presentations and interviews with practitioners whose projects have brought Shakespeare to life. You can also join or simply observe a morning reading of each play and then settle back to watch one of these plays in performance. On top of all this you will have your own ensuite room with TV and other facilities, plus all meals/refreshments supplied from a bespoke menu in a stunning location overlooking the beautiful Dee Valley. A guided hilltop walk, a candlelit demonstration and the opportunity to be creative in your own way are all extras on this unique retreat experience designed for anyone who loves Shakespeare from actor to audience to novice to student to teacher.
