Accessibility

Unfortunately, owing to the age, location and layout of the retreat property, our retreats are currently not accessible to wheelchair-users and/or anyone unable to negotiate a flight of stairs: all bedrooms are on the first floor or above, and there are multiple stairs and steps across the property (it is a Victorian property located on the side of the Berwyn mountains).

We have investigated solutions to this issue but have not, as yet, found a workable option. We continue to monitor and regularly review the situation.

In broader terms, A Place to Write is wholly accessible via public transport: the North Wales bus service is excellent, with a main bus station less than 5 minutes' walk from us in Corwen, and we provide a complimentary pick-up and drop-off from/to Chirk mainline railway station for those travelling to us by train. There is also an off-road car park at the property, with space for all guests travelling by car.
