About the event
A Unique Shakespeare Retreat exploring Shakespeare's major comedies with a particular focus on A Midsummer Night's Dream, As You Like It and Twelfth Night.
Arrive on Sunday 29th September for our evening welcome dinner, or on the morning of Monday 30th September for our first play reading, and stay in one of our spacious ensuite rooms through to check-out on Friday 4th October. During your stay you will have the opportunity to observe or participate in:
a guided reading of one play each day, followed by a group discussion
two extended workshops exploring Shakespeare's language and verse
two lecture-style presentations on aspects of Shakespeare's work related to his comedies, followed by Q&A
a panel discussion of Shakespeare's comedies with Q&A
