A Place to Write began as just that - a place to write in a peaceful location overlooking the stunning Dee Valley in a Victorian property built by a former sheriff of Denbigh.

All of our guests enjoy full board accommodation in one of our spacious ensuite bedrooms, with homecooked meals and refreshments, and a choice of places and spaces to relax, be creative and enjoy well-earned me-time. On every retreat we offer a structured schedule but with inbuilt flexibility to suit your individual needs. Our retreats are your retreats.

Whichever part of our programme interests you, Nic and Wendy- your hosts - will support you as much or as little as you want and guide you through your stay. You can even use our base to venture out on hill walks, mountain climbs, riverbank trails or to tackle any of the many other activities available in the local area.
