A Place to Write has been providing writing retreats for both aspiring and published writers since 2022. Alongside our relaxing escapes for mums we are also hosting a unique set of Shakespeare Retreats for anyone interested in developing their understanding of the Bard's works - from beginner to life-long enthusiast. Each retreat focuses on a group of three plays which are read, watched, analysed, discussed and explored by all the participants over four days of workshops, panel discussions, performances, screenings, readings and presentations.  If you have ever wished you understood Shakespeare better - or want to explore the ideas around his works in print and in performance - these retreats are for you. Finally, for 2024, we are hosting our inaugural 'Step Into Christmas' retreat to get you into the Christmas spirit ahead of the big festival itself: you'll spend time creating wreaths, making candles, designing decorations and other Christmas items - all while enjoying the best seasonal hospitality.  There's even a full three-course Christmas dinner with wine, aperitifs, coffee and mints all included.
