About the event
Your place on our October 2025 tutored writing retreat gives you a place to write in the way which suits you - alone or in a group; following a retreat schedule or pursuing your own plan; with support from your host or working independently. Writing workshops and extensive one-to-one time will be provided throughout the week.
The retreat runs from Monday to Friday (4 nights) and your accommodation will be in one of our spacious, ensuite bedrooms with TV, WiFi, Tea and Coffee making facilities, all toiletries and - of course - a desk at which to write if you choose to. During the day you will have access to the group writing table, our lounge writing space (with a view over the valley), your bedroom writing space and, of course, our extensive garden and grounds where you might discover your own place to write. Superior Room - £745
Payment of the deposit (£195 incl VAT) secures you one of our superior rooms for a Monday-Friday retreat at a total price, including the deposit, of £745 including VAT (no concessions available). On receipt of the deposit we will send you confirmation of your room and a pre-retreat questionnaire. The balance of payment is payable 14 days prior to the start of the retreat. Extra Night Before (B&B) - £75
A deposit of £10 (incl VAT) secures you an extra night's accommodation, on the night before the retreat check-in, on a bed and breakfast basis only (subject to availability). The full price of just £75 includes breakfast but not other meals/hospitality and is designed to allow you to maximise your time at A Place To Write (the balance of £65 is payable 14 days prior to the start of the retreat).

1 hour Massage - £70
£20 Deposit for optional add-on of a one hour massage treatment of your choice, to take place during your stay at a time to be arranged (subject to availability). The balance of payment will be due 14 days prior to the start of the retreat.

Accompanying Dog Fee - £30
A place for your furry friend on the retreat, sharing your room. The fee covers extra cleaning and other costs. A maximum of two dogs are allowed on each retreat. Dogs are usually not allowed in the dining room but are allowed in all other areas. Contact us if you need more information.
