A Place to Write Online
Keep writing after the retreat. Finish what you started.
Residential retreats at A Place to Write provide focused time, space, and company - for writers at any stage of their journey. Now you can have that rhythm and progress all year round: regular sessions, real accountability and expert guidance (plus engagement with a community of writers like you) wherever you are in the world.
As you'll know, if you've been on one of our tutored retreats, Nic's unique approach to the craft of writing draws on his extensive experience of professional theatre production - from acting to playwriting to directing to stage management. Via the methods, tools, tricks and skills employed by writers and practitioners from Homer to Shakespeare to Ibsen to the present day, Nic will help you shape your 21st century text for maximum impact - covering everything from plot to structure to character development to language to action.
You don't need to act, of course, and you don't need to know the secrets of the playwrights - because Nic will share them with you while providing the tools and insights that will help you make your stories fly. From detailed analyses of language to overarching examinations of structure and sequencing, Nic's unique approach has proven invaluable for writers on retreat and now it is available, for the first time, after retreaters have returned home!
Choose the level of service that fits best with your needs and then check out our 'Founding Member' special offers available until 7th November only.
We're currently investigating a secure recurring payment option for our online sessions but, for now, email us with a request to join - stating your name, requested tier, and phone number, and Nic'll get back to you!
