About the event
Your place on our March 2027 tutored writing retreat (with extra support for new writers) gives you a place to write in the way which suits you - alone or in a group; following a retreat schedule or pursuing your own plan; with support from your host or working independently. Writing workshops and one-to-one time will be provided throughout the week.
The retreat runs from Monday to Friday (4 nights) and your accommodation will be in one of our spacious, ensuite bedrooms with TV, WiFi, Tea and Coffee making facilities, all toiletries and - of course - a desk at which to write if you choose to. During the day you will have access to the group writing table, our lounge writing space (with a view over the valley), your bedroom writing space and, of course, our extensive garden and grounds where you might discover your own place to write.…

Daily workshops, optional mentoring, and one-to-ones - plus your own spacious ensuite room with glorious views! Payment of the deposit (£195 incl VAT) secures you one of our superior rooms with a stunning view at a total price, including the deposit, of £865 including VAT (no concessions available). The balance of payment is payable against invoice, 21 days prior to the start of the retreat.

Daily workshops, optional mentoring, and one-to-ones focused on you - plus your own fully ensuite room. Payment of the deposit (£165 incl VAT) secures you one of our standard rooms for a Monday-Friday retreat at a total price, including the deposit, of £815 including VAT. The balance of payment is due 21 days prior to the start of the retreat.

Attic Room - £765
Daily workshops, optional mentoring, and one-to-ones focused on you - plus your own cosy fully ensuite attic room. Payment of the deposit (£135 incl VAT) secures you one of our attic rooms at a total price, including the deposit, of £765 including VAT. The balance of payment will be payable against invoice, 21 days prior to the start of the retreat.

Concession rate for anyone with a valid student card and/or in receipt of state benefits or the state pension. Total price (including deposit): £665 including VAT. Extra Night After (B&B) - £95
A deposit of £10 (incl VAT) secures you an extra night's accommodation, on the night after the retreat check-out, on a bed and breakfast basis only (subject to availability). The full price of just £95 includes breakfast but not other meals/hospitality and is designed to allow you to maximise your time at A Place To Write (the balance of £75 is payable 21 days prior to the start of the retreat). Check-out on this day is 11am.

1 hour Massage - £75
£20 Deposit for optional add-on of a one hour massage treatment of your choice, to take place during your stay at a time to be arranged (subject to availability). The balance of payment will be due 21 days prior to the start of the retreat.

Accompanying Dog - £35
A place for your furry friend on the retreat, sharing your room. The fee covers extra cleaning and other costs. A maximum of two dogs are allowed on each retreat. Dogs are usually not allowed in the dining room but are allowed in all other areas. Contact us if you need more information.
